Nintendo Wii is a Video Game Console manufactured by Nintendo of the Seventh Generation Era. It was first available on the 19th of November 2006.For Nintendo Wii to work the requirements are as follows:
CPU must be power based by IBM “Broadway” made with a 90 nm SOI CMOS process.
GPU should be of ATI Hollywood made with a 90 nm CMOS process clicked at 243 MHz.
The media requires a 12 cm Wii optical disk, an 8cm Nintendo game cube game disk and a slot loading disc drive compatible with these two.
The system storage should have at least 512 MB Internal flash memory, a Secure Digital Card, expanded storage via SD card of 2 GB and a Nintendo Game Cube Memory Card.
For the connectivity, there should be a Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth, a 2 x USB 2.0 and a LAN Adapter (via USB).
The online connection must include the Nintendo WI-Fi connection, Wiiconnect24 and Wii shop channel.
88 MB main memory, 3 MB embedded GPU texture memory and frame buffer.
There are a total of 29.62 million units shipped of Nintendo Wii worldwide which shows the great demands of it. It is the next version of the NINTENDO GAMECUBE.
Nintendo Wii is a video gaming console as a seventh generation of Nintendo and stands in competition to the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Play station 3 as it believes that it has broader demographic target consoles than any of the two. Wii is leading in its sales as of September 2007.It is Nintendo’s fifth gaming console and has the capacity to play all official Game Cube Games. At E3 2006, the console won it’s first ever award and had completed its launch in the four major world markets.
