DUMP IN FOR THE MONOTREAL OF THE ASSASSINS CREED

The story of Assassins Creed starts from September 2012 where Desmond Miles who is a bartender is kidnapped by the company of ABSTERGO INDUSTRIES to be used as a test subject in the “Animus” that is a device used to recall ancestral memories buried in user’s DNA. Abstergo asks Desmond to use the device recalling the role of “The Flying Eagle, Son of None” who is Desmond’s ancestors in the “AssassinBrotherhood”. Desmond feels troubled relating the device after finally, being able to relive Altaïr’s exploits the next days. The game is then presented by Altaïr’s view point seen by Desmond. Altaïr attempts to retrieve a “Piece of Eden” at the start of the memories that is an artifact from Solomon’s Temple along with other assassins, eventually stopped by Robert IV de Sablé who is a member of the Knights Templar and enemies of the assassins. Altaïr breaks all of the three codes of the Creed to kill de Sablé, though he fails where upon returning to the Brotherhood, Al Mualim who is the “The teacher” and leader of the Assassins, forces Altaïr to initiate to rise through the Brotherhood. Then, Al Mualim gets Altaïr to assassinate nine key figures across Holy Land in Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus for peace between the Crusaders and Muslim forces. Altaïr completes all the tasks after knowing that each target has been connected to Robert and the Templars sharing their mysterious goals. Altaïr’s final target is de Sablé who reveals at his death bed that Al Mualim is a member of the Knights Templar who used Altaïr to kill other members to take the whole treasure for himself. Soon after listening to this, Altaïr returned to Masyaf to accost his master. Al Mualim tells the truth that the Piece of Eden creates illusions denouncing religion and other supernatural events caused by it. He also tells him that his intention to use it was to force the mankind to a brainwashed state to bring an end to the conflicts. Altaïr attempts to murder his master, but, eventually Al Mualim uses the Piece of Eden warping Altaïr’s vision who still is able to see through the deception and kill Al Mualim, recovering the artifact. After doing this, the artifact activates showing a holographic view of the world with many locations marked across the globe.

There are cryptic messages written on the wall of Desmond’s bedroom at the end of the game after which Desmond is brought out of the Animus with his purpose completed. He is acknowledged that Abstergo are a part of the Templars using Desmond’s memories of Altaïr to discover the map to get more artifacts to be used in the Templars’ mission. Desmond then comes to know that the equivalent of the Assassin Brotherhood has tried and further, failed in rescuing him before the knowledge was gained. At the end, Desmond is all alone locked in the Animus room as not needed anymore learning that through his experience with Altaïr’s memories he can see hidden messages in the room from various religions and cultures that portend the end of the world.
